Working with the legendary Italian styling house Zagato to combine traditional craftsmanship with high technology and absolute exclusivity, the Aston Martin V12 Zagato delivers a unique combination of race-proven handling and performance, rarity, and fastidious attention to detail both inside and out. A fabulous celebration of the iconic DB4GT Zagato, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, it provides the perfect inspiration for the next 50 years. The Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato was introduced in October 1960 at the London Motor Show. It was effectively a DB4GT, lightened and improved by the Zagato factory in Italy, by Ercole Spada. Nowadays, due to the rarity and popularity of the DB4GT Zagato, the cars are worth a considerable amount of money, and at auction they reach well in excess of £4 million.


The initial phase of an intensive development programme has already brought motorsport success, with a thrilling demonstration that the new design truly carries forward the spirit and power of the legendary DB4GT Zagato. In front of some 200,000 spectators at the infamous Nürburgring Nordschleife, the first two Aston Martin V12 Zagato concept cars, just weeks after being unveiled, displayed all the thoroughbred racing car DNA of the original DB4GT, impressively powering past the chequered flag after surviving this typically tough 24hr endurance race. Given the ethos and commitment that has driven everyone at Aston Martin for almost 100 years, you won’t be surprised to learn that our CEO, Dr Ulrich Bez and Aston Martin V12 Zagato Programme Manager Chris Porritt were key members of the driver teams behind the wheel of the two cars which for the event were affectionately christened Zig and Zag.

 A unique blend of power, beauty, soul,refinement, and dynamic agility, the V12 Zagato is built on Aston Martin’s VH bonded aluminium chassis. Under the bonnet lies the potent power of our highly acclaimed 6.0-litre V12 engine, producing 510 bhp (380 kW / 517 PS), and 570Nm (420 lb ft) of torque. A bold fusion of technology, tradition and exclusivity, V12 Zagato is a contemporary Aston Martin like no other. Designed in collaboration with the legendary Italian styling house this unique car is clothed in lightweight hand-formed aluminium and carbon-fibre body panels and endowed with race-proven handling and performance. Built in a strictly limited production run, the Aston Martin V12 Zagato will become the pride of an exclusive selection of enthusiasts. Based upon Aston Martin’s VH bonded aluminium chassis and powered by a potent 6.0-litre 12-cylinder engine, the V12 Zagato’s lightweight, alloy bodywork takes a team of exceptionally skilled craftsmen many hundreds of hours to form by hand. It is nothing short of a work of art.
